W-phase

Introduction

The WPHASE package is an extensive source-inversion tool allowing rapid characterization of the seismic source and is a reliable and straightforward method to resolve first-order attributes of large earthquakes. Main contributors are Zacharie Duputel, Luis Rivera and Hiroo Kanamori.

Getting the Code

Currently, the W-phase package is hosted as a git repository available at https://github.com/eost/wphase.git For more details on using Git for W-phase, please refer to this page. If you would like to contribute or if you have any questions/suggestions, please contact us.

Build and Run

Installation

The installation is described in the W-phase documentation page.

Running the code

There is a quite complete document in the w-phase documentation, also described in “how_to_wpinversion” included in the distribution. You can also check out the w-phase tutorial page which includes an example of run. This is out-dated, but give a chance to it… it can be very useful. This wiki is an attempt to keep these information up-to-date.
